This marvel of engineering, Trail Scout Patrol - mountain eBike, is an excellent choice for the demands of patrol work. Its robust design, reliable performance, and long battery life make it suitable for all terrains and riding demands. Designed to be balanced, with a lower center of gravity, using the battery under the rider configuration. This keeps the front end lighter and easier to maneuver, overall balance is 50/50.
The Trail Scout Patrol is capable of the sustained, heavy duty use needed in patrol work. With 350 Pound capacity for rider and gear the bike can easily handle it's duties fully loaded. 27 speed drive train allows the rider a more comfortable pedal cadence. Keeping the rider more comfortable in any terrain, allows for alert and longer duration patrols.
Trail Scout, a 26 X 4 -inch fat tire electric mountain bike equipped with our proprietary Ultra-High-Torque 750W motor and a 48V 17.4 AH battery (Samsung Cells - Over 1000 Charge Cycles/ Fully Charged 52+volts = 905 watt hours). Instant Access - twist throttle up to 35 MPH. With a range of over 70 miles of pedal assist on a single charge, this electric mountain bike is perfect for sustained heavy duty use. Trail Scout Patrol
We recently upgraded to Trail Scout Patrol. It is everything we liked about the standard Trail Scout but more, and better. The motor is more powerful, the top speed is higher. The motor still produces 750W nominally, but peak wattage has climbed to 1500 and torque has climbed, making for a much more powerful ride. Previously, the standard scouts wouldn't do much over 29.5 mph loaded. The Patrol upgrade definitely delivers a rider to speeds over to 33 mph quicker and eventually gets to the advertised 35mph even loaded. The upgrade is pricey but definitely worth it from a law enforcement point of view. Our trail scouts are much easier to control than our previous Specialized brand bikes and handle the job much better. The mechanical 8" brakes and fat tires stop faster than our previous bikes. Our larger officers fit very comfortably on these bikes compared to the other brand we used. Carry capacity, durability, versatility and range is over double than the other brand. We proudly give Ion 5 stars on their products and service and plan on purchasing more in the near future.
